With a sloped gain of 22-26dB at 950-2200MHz and 20dB across the terrestrial band with all lines having a 0-10dB variable attenuator the DRA works best as a multi-switch cluster amplifier. With a line powered draw of only 220mA across a range of 12-18V there is sufficient capacity for terrestrially active cascading switches making this a perfect replacement for the Spaun NVF5522SR if required.
In Head End use the DRA505 is powered by the DRP1533 PSU which will power the LNB and several more DRA units remotely via the trunk line outputs. With a trunk to trunk and trunk to terrestrial isolation of 30dB the DRA underlines all the advantages of its strongest asset, it’s made in Germany. The 505 is part of range of 9, 13 and 17 wire variants using double depth and double width cases.
