Available as 5 x 8, 5 x 12, 5 x 16, 5 x 24 (illustrated) and 5 x 32 port types, these switches have a built in voltage and tone selection allowing them to be operated with existent quad switching type LNBs. The 24 and 32 way models are unity gain at satellite frequencies and have 500mA of LNB power capacity. When that is coupled to the high level output potential and using line amplifiers very long dish and/or sub cable feeds can be served. Alternatively by using active splitters in front of the switch up to 128 feeds can be achieved at a lower cost than that of a cascadable network. Terrestrial signals have a 2dB loss, +/- 2dB across all switch models.
Lastly and most importantly, before you commit to anything don’t forget to check the small print. In this case it says, ‘Made in Germany’. That’s reassuring.
